At kindergarten, Navelle is gaining confidence in writing. She has been able to write letters for a while but did not have the interest or confidence to pull them together into words. Each week the class adds "heart words" (I don't know why they are called heart words. Maybe because the uber-sweet teacher writes them inside the shape of a heart on the board, which I have seen.). By this time, the heart words include I, see, can, the, car. Navelle put them into a sentence. You can see her progression in letter correction and sizing until she is satisfied with the results on the last line.
