Trim Up the Tree

"Trim up the tree with Christmas stuff
Like bingle balls, and whofoo fluff"

                                       -Dr. Seuss, The Grinch

We trimmed up the tree one night after dinner. The kids danced around in their winter jammies.  They loved the sparkle and twinkling lights and the special trinkets. Lina, as always, enjoyed going through the ornaments and remembering where each one came from.

Navelle hung ornaments carefully on branch tips. Arthur threw ornaments into the branches.
The tree developed a "browse line" -- above which we hung the fragile ornaments, below which we hung the Arthur-proof ornaments.  We learned, quickly, that nothing is truly Arthur-proof.  The browse line became more defined with time.  But if we squint, and if we look only at the top half of the tree, it's all very lovely.
