After the high desert and painted hills the greens of the Willamette Valley seemed especially vibrant. We had planned to go for a walk in the old-growth temperate rain forest. Then it started to rain. How better to see a rain forest? Onward!
We saw a lot of these little fellas -- rough-skinned newts. The girls loved spotting them along the path.
