Leaf Pile. Jumpin' Fun.

Ah, Spring!  The crocus flowers are in bloom, the daffodil shoots are promising a blast of color in a few weeks, the days are getting longer, the birds are singing in the morning, and the air is scented with flowers and chlorophyll.  It's time to work in the garden!  Navelle has been enthusiastic about helping, so we're using that as a good outlet for her energy, and a good source of manual labor.
Navelle enjoys raking leaves, especially when she can get them into a pile and jump into them.

There is so much to see outdoors! Wide-eyed Arthur hardly blinked.

We stuck Arthur in the middle of the leaf pile. He loved shaking up the leaves, watching them move, and listening to them rustle.

Finally, Navelle's hard work paid off. She had a huge bed of leaves on which to leap and land.

It may be hard to tell by this photo, but Navelle was really catching some air. She spent a very, very long time running, leaping, jumping into the pile, then raking the leaves into a pile again, then starting all over. So much energy!
