Reading in Bed

Navelle moved to a toddler bed over the summer after deciding that it was time. She adjusted to the new bed immediately. Happily, so far, she hasn't realized or wanted to come out of her room at night.  However, recently she has learned that for naptime, when it is light in her room, she has the freedom to get up and find books to read in bed.  Here she is, asleep in a nap, snuggled into a corner of her bed since the rest of her bed is littered with books. In this way, she reminds me of my sister, who still reads in bed. When she was a kid there were so many books tucked under her blankets that if she rolled over in the night there would be the loud thud of books falling on to the floor.
