Chubby Cheeks

Arthur is full of fun facial expressions. He has a great smile, framed by very chubby cheeks, a double chin, and a dimple on his right cheek. Often times he likes to add a little drool or spit up as creative flair. As you can see, his hair is starting to grow in a tiny bit. It's like peach fuzz for now. It will probably be Gabe's color, as far as we can tell.  So far, his eyes are blue and seem like they will stay blue, but the pediatrician tells us that they can change until about 9 months of age.  Arthur is three months old now. He's a big, heavy baby, at 17 pounds (Navelle didn't weigh that much until after she was six months old).  He likes to smile and energetically flail around his arms and legs. He's starting to bring objects, like his fist and toys, to his mouth.  He continues to have a very hearty appetite. His Aunt Vicki joked that we should forget the college savings and instead focus on savings for food. We laughed that off as a funny joke, but maybe some of our laughter rang with the nervousness of truth settling upon us.  Big boy, big eater. As of last week, Arthur started sleeping through the night--about six to eight hours at a stretch.  Our challenge now is training our own bodies to sleep through the night again. It's getting a little better night by night. As we get more sleep, we're starting to feel human again, rather than feeling like sleep-walkers.  These three months have gone by very quickly. Happy Autumn everyone!
