Arthur Nine Months

Arthur is nine months old.  He's just shy of 23 pounds and 28 1/2 inches tall. He's happy, and smiley, and rolypoly. He's sitting up but not yet crawling.  He loves to carefully examine toys and manipulate them with his hands, turning them over and over, shaking them, shoving them in his mouth. His favorite objects are things that make noise, like rattles. He is very pleased with himself when he can get a big rattle going. He loves playing peek-a-boo. He likes watching his sister run around and make silly noises, but he does not like it when she gets in his face with exuberant affection. Arthur likes to clap.  He likes feeding himself finger foods like cheerios or beans or little chunks of chicken.  When he really likes a food he makes loud smacking, yummy noises. He bangs on his tray, which makes a very loud noise, and then he smiles and sighs with great satisfaction. He sleeps through the night, naps 2 or 3 times a day. Oh, and all indications are that he's left handed. Overall, he's a wonderful, healthy, happy baby and we adore him!
